Liana Smart

Liana is the owner and creator of The Solar Outpost. She created The Solar Outpost as a space for people to connect back to their body and allow it to adapt in the modern world. She is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist and has three years of clinical experience working in the Grampians.

If you ask Liana 10 years ago what she wanted to do - Bodywork wouldn’t have been the first thing that came to mind. She was always intuitively massaging family and friends and so in 2020 she started her journey into Remedial Massage Therapy and has never looked back. Now having completed the MMT Bodywork course she feels right on track.

Liana’s approach is slow and purposeful. She understands that our body has adapted to consistent environments and to adjust the body back into optimal balance takes time and space. Her goal is to enhance people’s everyday life through Bodywork.

Her treatments are intuitive but also interactive - she listens to your body, but she also listens to you. She utilises ancient the techniques of Gua Sha & Fire Glass Cupping to assist in the releasing of tension.

AWARENESS

GROUNDED ~ RECONNECT ~ REORIENTATE

If you’re here, then you already have an awareness of your body. That’s the first step - to feel your body.

NURTURE

TAILORED ~ RELAXATION ~ CURIOSITY

We nurture the body by creating each treatment so it is unique to you. The body needs feeling of safety for it to relax so we can melt away the tension.

Let us be curious rather than harsh to our body. Our body’s way of communicating is through our aches & pains. Let us be curious as to what is making them arise.

INTEGRATION

EXPLORE ~ PLAY ~ GROWTH

When we start to clear away the gunk, we will work alongside each other so you can grow into the body of ease and mobility.

Explore different ways to move your body. Play in the sand, run in the grass. Grow inward.
